Transport: sleeping bus (Hanoi – Ha Giang – Hanoi), motorbike
As the top land of the country with Dong Van rocky plateau and Hoang Su Phi terraced landscape, Ha Giang has long been a very popular land in the community of friends who love to move. In recent years, due to the development of transport infrastructure as well as services and facilities invested, Ha Giang tourism is more and more popular.
Ha Giang, a very popular destination in every tourist season. Ha Giang not only has a triangular circuit, not only a rocky plateau, but when traveling to Ha Giang, you will also be able to explore many other interesting points.
Night 0: Hanoi
We gather at the meeting point for the overnight sleeping bus to Ha Giang from Hanoi (Departing at around 22:00)
Day 1: Ha Giang – Doc Bac Sum – Quyet Tien Market – Quan Ba Heaven Gate – Tam Son Town – Yen Minh Pine Forest – Yen Minh District (About 100km) – Sung La – Pao’s House – Meo King’s Palace – Lung Cu Flagpole – Dong Van Town (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
At around 4-5 am, you will be present in Ha Giang city, receive your motorbike, have breakfast, refuel and start your journey. Visit landmark 0 in Ha Giang city
On the first leg of the legendary road called Road of Happiness, we cross the Bac Sum slope which marks the starting point of the journey through Dong Van Plateau Global Geopark. At the top of that long winding slope, Quan Ba heaven gate is a long-standing famous place because of the magnificent landscape and the legendary story of Double Mountain. You can visit Quyet Tien market every Saturday morning, right next to National Highway 4C, about ten kilometers from Quan Ba heaven gate. The next point is Can Ty, a check-in point loved by many young people, with a lonely tree on the way from Quan Ba to Yen Minh.
From Yen Minh to Dong Van town, to Pho Bang junction, where a beautiful pass embracing a green valley is the highest and most beautiful point for panoramic view of Sung La. This place can be considered as the most beautiful upland commune of Dong Van rocky plateau. Looking down from the middle of the road, you will see Sung La as a peaceful and beautiful natural picture. Lung Cam cultural tourism village has been selected as a film location for the film “Story of Pao” – won the “Golden Kite” award of the Vietnam Cinema Association.
The next shooting point is Doc Tham Ma and Doc 9anh, which is a mountain road connecting Pho Cao commune with Sung La commune, Dong Van district. As its name suggests, there are 9 consecutive curves, winding, winding and quite steep. Continue to visit the Meo King’s residence, the name used in the documents is the residence of the Vuong family, also known as the King’s House, located in a valley in Sa Phin commune.
The end point is Lung Cu flagpole with an altitude of 1470m above sea level in Lung Cu commune, Dong Van district, located on the top of Lung Cu, also known as Dragon Mountain.
Overnight in Dong Van
Day 2: Dong Van – Meo Vac – Yen Minh Forest – Ha Giang (breakfast, lunch)
Sunday morning, get up early to have breakfast, visit walking around to buy gifts at Dong Van market
We left Dong Van to Meo Vac to visit Ma Pi Leng Pass, the pass is honored as one of the “four great peaks of the pass” of the North. Get off the pier to visit with the zigzac road and cruise to visit the Nho Que river. Drink coffee at the Ma Pi Leng viewing spot. Lunch at Meo Vac, visit milestone 0 and then go straight to Ha Giang city, stop at the legendary M shape pass. We stop at a dreamlike road on the 4C National Highway with the two sides of the road, making you feel like you are standing in the middle of a dreamy Dalat.
In the evening, we were in Ha Giang to rest and bathe and then get on the bus back to Hanoi

Day 3: Hà Nội
You’ll approach the center of Hanoi in the early morning then can take a taxi to go to your hotel for a check-in.
