Mau Son is known as a resort from the French colonial period with dozens of old houses built, now abandoned. The French are quite adept at choosing tourist destinations on the mountain such as Tam Dao, Sa Pa, Mau Son … While other tourist destinations are invested and attracted many tourists, Mau Son is “boring”. Therefore, many tourists consider Mau Son as a “princess” sleeping in the forest. In recent years, Mau Son often appears snow and frost when the air is cold, so it also attracts many more tourists.
Bac Son is a district of Lang Son with many historical relics, beautiful landscapes, charming country and customs bearing national identity. This place is the origin of Bac Son culture, is one of the places where archaeological relics of the prehistoric and prehistoric Vietnamese people were discovered and the site of the heroic Bac Son uprising took place. Bac Son has interesting tourist spots of nature, caves, and historical culture, so there are many favorable conditions to develop community based tourism, learn cultural history, customs and habits of people. local people.

Afternoon we ride straight to Mau Son for a rest. Enjoy delicious local dishes at Mau Son.
Mount Mẫu Sơn is a mountain in Lộc Bình District, Lạng Sơn Province, in northeastern Vietnam. It is located about 170 km northeast of the Hanoi and about 30 km east of Lạng Sơn City close to the international border between Vietnam and China. The highest peak of Mount Mẫu Sơn reaches about 1,600 m above sea level.
Mount Mẫu Sơn was originally settled by the Yao people. In the early 20th century, the French built a military base on the mountain followed by a cluster of villas in 1936. The French installations on Mount Mẫu Sơn have since fallen into disrepair and only ruins of the original buildings remain . The mountain now contains several guest houses built to resemble French villas, some are abandoned, but a few still remain operational. The top of the mountain is a popular picnicking location with locals who come there to take photographs on the mountain top.

Day 2: Hanoi Motorcycle Tour to Mau Son and Bac Son in Lang Son: Mau Son Motorbike Tour via Huu Nghi border gate to Bac Son (breakfast, lunch)
Get up in the morning, we might buy some Mau Son specialties as gifts, then ride toward Dong Dang and visit Huu Nghi border gate.
We will continue to go straight to Bac Son valley which has been excavated by archeologists to be known as the cradle for the ancient Viet people in the early Stone Age. This valley is located amongst high mountains, rivers, rice paddies and also a home to many other ethnic people such as Kinh, Nung, Yao, Tay … This area looks like an immense natural painting with different colors in the harvesting time.
After arriving here, we’ll take a short ride around to uncover some beautiful travel sites here before coming back to the village for a dinner.

Day 3: Hanoi Motorcycle Tour to Mau Son and Bac Son in Lang Son: Bac Son Motorbike Tour back to Hanoi (breakfast, lunch)
Get up very early in the morning and walk up Na Lay Mountain to hunt for pictures of Bac Son valley. If you go in winter and prefer a nice place to take pictures, you should spend the night in the mountains as well.
Then you can visit Dang Mo waterfall (about 30km from the center). If the time and weather conditions permit, we have the opportunity to explore or stop at some villages to learn about the cultural life here.
After lunch and rest, we depart back to Hanoi along NH1B and NH3 (via Thai Nguyen)
