Itinerary:
Day 0: HANOI – HA GIANG
23:00: Pick you up at Noi Bai airport then we will move to Ha Giang
4h00: Arrriving to Ha Giang city then having a rest at Ha Giang Tours office.
Day 1: Ha Giang City – Quan Ba – Yen Minh – Dong Van.
Morning: After breakfast, at 8:00am, we start to go to Quan Ba. On the way, we will visit Tham Ma slope. Tham Ma pass is a very famous pass with nine twists in Ha Giang, this is a familiar road for the young people who love to explore and conquer when coming to the top land of the country. Here we can take beautiful pictures of the pass.
10:00: We stop at Quan Ba Heaven’s Gate to see and take pictures. Quan Ba Heaven Gate is the narrow gap between two mountain peaks that is lowered and widened enough for the road to run through. This is also the beginning of the Happiness Road. Arriving here, you seem to be lost in a fairyland.
10:30: Continuing to move to Yen Minh town. We will stop a bit at Lung Tam village that is the residence of the Mong ethnic people in order to see how they can make their linen weaving. Next we will move to Yen Minh town – where there are bamboo forests, pine forests and houses.
13h00: Having a lunch at Yen Minh town. Next we will continue the journey to Dong Van town. On the way, we will visit the Lung Cam village, Sung La commune, Dong Van district, where there are many majestic landscapes and more than 63 households of the H’mong and Han ethnic groups. Especially in the village, there is a traditional house of the H’mong ethnic group built more than 80 years ago that was chosen as the filming location for the movie “Pao’s Story”.
Then we will visit the palace of the H’Mong King is located in Sa Phin valley with unique architectural works, attracting domestic and foreign tourists. The Vuong Dynasty is the palace and fortress of the Vuong family, the Mong ethnic group in Dong Van district. The owner of the house is Mr. Vuong Chinh Duc (1865-1947). More than a century ago, with the cultivation and trade of opium, the Vuong family dominated the vast highlands and was known as the Meo King.
18h00: Arriving in Dong Van then walking around the Dong Van ancient town, then having a dinner with corn wine, watching a Khen dance and sleeping at the homestay.
Day 02: Dong Van – Lung Cu – Meo Vac – Yen Minh – Ha Giang – Hanoi.
Morning: After breakfast at 8:30 am, we will go head to Lung Cu Flagpole, the first place in Vietnam with a very long history. The flagpole is designed in an octagonal shape similar to the Hanoi flagpole, the 8 base faces of the column simulate the Dong Son bronze drum pattern and illustrate different historical periods of Vietnam.
10:30: We are back to Dong Van and continue to explore Ma Pi Leng pass. Ma Pi Leng Pass is called to the “king” of Vietnamese passes. To make this road, tens of thousands of workers from all over the northern provinces worked hard day and night to carve stones, especially the section through Ma Pi Leng was the suicide youth hanging on the cliff encroaching every centimeter to build the road in 11 months. After finishing, Ma Pi Leng pass with 9 bends on the steep cliffs, below the abyss, has become a miracle like a “Great Wall” of Vietnam. We will stop to admire the scenery and take some pictures.
12:30: Having a lunch at Meo Vac then being back to Yen Minh
18:30: Arrriving to Ha Giang city to take a rest and have a dinner.
21:00: Return to Hanoi
