DAY 1: Luang Prabang Backroad Motorbike Tour to Elephant Camp and Waterfalls : LUANG PRABANG MOTORBIKE TOUR VIA ELEPHANT CAMP TO HILLSIDE RESORT

Your motorcycle tour will begin in Luang Prabang before crossing the Mekong by ferry. You will immediately be greeted by a long stretch of winding dirt roads in the Lao countryside with mountains in all directions. At various local villages along the way, you will be able to meet both Khmu and Hmong ethnic groups. Laos is an extremely diverse country with 49 different ethnic groups. You may even pick up a few words in their distinctive languages. After you enjoying a traditional Lao meal in one of the local villages, you will journey back through Luang Prabang on your way to an elephant camp near the Nam Khan River. At the elephant camp, you will be able to ride, bathe, feed, and befriend these big elephants! In the afternoon you will head to the Hillside Resort up in the Xiengmuark hills right outside of Luang Prabang. This is a private retreat amid a lush, tropical jungle.

DAY 2: Luang Prabang Backroad Motorbike Tour to Elephant Camp and Waterfalls : HILLSIDE RESORT MOTORBIKE TOUR VIA MUANG NAN – KUANGSI WATERFALL BACK TO LUANG PRABANG (B) 

After you wake up the next morning, you will ride out from the resort through stunning, Lao landscapes. There will be a stop at the refreshing Kacham Waterfall before you will arrive in Muang Nan. Here you will interact and meet Khmu and Lao Lom while having traditional Lao cuisine prepared right before your eyes. You will head back on your motorcycle to Luang Prabang along dusty roads, with a stop at the famous Kuang Si Waterfall. This waterfall is one of the most famous in the entire province, and should not be missed on your journey in Laos. You will also learn about the endangered Asian bears at the Free the Bears rescue center next to the waterfall. Your two-day journey concludes once you arrive back in Luang Prabang.

Technical Support: In case of technical breakdown, we replace the bike with the same type. If an issue shortens your ride, you are refunded for unused days.

Rider Experience: All riders must be healthy, physically fit, and confident in their motorbiking ability for medium-to-large displacement motorcycles.

Flexible Rescheduling: Deposits are non-refundable, but you are free to postpone your booking to another date should unforeseen changes arise.

5 of us did the 10 day Northern Vietnam Off-road Loop at the end of November, very ably assisted by by our guide, Giang, and support vehicle driver, Dong.We logged over 1800km in 9 days of riding, saw some absolutely amazing scenery, partook in local delicacies, met and partied with ethnic people and had an epic trip.Everything around the trip was managed efficiently by Mike Dong, including organising Vietnamese drivers licences for us all. The bikes we had (CRF300L) performed well with only two flat tyres to speak of. The accommodation choices (apart from one night) were comfortable and adequate, the meals were delicious and plentiful.The whole trip went like clockwork and we got to see places few other tourist would ever get to see.I would definitely recommend this tour or shorter trips if you feel 10 days is a bit much.

Brilliant 6 days, the tours are road based with a little bit of riding on un paved roads, Ducky was our guide, ex-road racer which suited us as we like to push on. Was amazing to see all the villagers, people waving, nothing like miserable old England where everyone thinks your doing something illegal. We did a 10 day tour. Lihn was our guide. Great guy. We had a Canadian guy join us, so 4 in total. Amazing time, 10 days few by. I had a gopro on my helmet facing forward, Lihn had one facing back.
