Day 1: Hanoi Motorbike Tour via Long Coc Tea Plantation – Da Bac (Hoa Binh)

Starting your motorbike tour from your hotel by leaving the crowded Hanoi along the dyke of Red River is a great experience to see the daily life of the locals in the villages outside of city. We’ll be following some back-roads to go through villages, rice fields, gardens … until reaching Son Tay town where we will have a coffee break before heading to another adventure level of the day.

We then will keep riding to Long Coc Tea Hills being located in Tan Son district in the northern province of Phu Tho, the Long Coc tea hills are regarded as one of the nation’s most beautiful tea hills. Coming there, you can enjoy a stroll among the tea hills whilst immersing themselves within the area’s tranquil and peaceful atmosphere. High clouds and layers of fog create a vibrant orange sunrise over Long Coc tea hill in the northern midland province of Phu Tho, which has been a popular destination for photography aficionados. Of course, there would be some small dirt tracks to challenge you a bit for funs.

After having lunch at local restaurant near Xuan Son National Park, we continue the ride on weaving roads to Ke village belonging to Hien Luong commune and Da Bac Dist of Hoa Binh province which is nestled right on the edge of Hoa Binh reservoir and being surrounded by high mountains. This is the home to ethnic minorities of Muong & Thai who are mostly staying at the traditional houses on stilts and living on fishing & growing rices on the terraces. All traditional houses are peacefully leaning on the mountains & facing to the lake make this place so adorable & deserved to relax.

If time permits, you will take a short ride to conquer some dirt tracks to visit nearby villages or just do a boat around Hoa Binh lake on Da River

Day 2: Da Bac Motorbike Tour to Da Bia – Boat trip to Ba Khan – Mai Chau

After the breakfast, you will ride to Da Bia village – 25km away from your accommodation which is a perfect venue for travelers wanting to explore the wild nature and authentic indigenous culture. Of course, Untouched natural scenery, homestay in old stilt houses and delicious food are among irresistible charms for to Da Bia. To get to Da Bia, you ride through many villages, admiring the scenery of the picturesque within the romantic area of Hoa Binh lake. From there, you start the boat journey with your bikes across the lake to Ba Khan where we can start another adventure ride to go to Mai Chau vallley. En route, we take chances to see more peaceful villages along cum traditional stilt houses of Muong ethnic people overlooking to the lake, which is very airy and cool.

Boat trip to Ba Khan

You will continue the motorbike tour to Mai Chau valley. Here, ethnic minority villagers sit among a patchwork of paddy fields surrounded by green mountains. A night stay will get you immersed in Vietnam’s rural culture, dining on delicious home-cooked cuisine, and learning about the traditions of the ethnic groups. The Mai Chau Valley is home to Lac and Pom Coong. In both villages, White Thai families offer simple accommodation in stilt houses in an idyllic setting of verdant jungle, limestone outcrops, and mountain tops.

Day 3: Mai Chau Motorbike Tour to Pu Luong Nature Reserve

Then you will keep riding on a such beautiful adventure route from Mai Chau to Lung Van via the road ĐT432A passing the roof of Muong people via the scenic Lung Van route to Son Ba Muoi with lots of curvy roads, steep passes, high mountains. En route, you can immerse in the wild beauty of mountains and forests, get some fresh breezes and admire all the charming combination of nature. The pass is amazing and fitted for testing your skills with zigzag downward

Pu Luong, in the local language, stands for “the highest mountain peak”. Pu Luong Nature Reserve belongs to both Ba Thuoc and Quan Hoa district, just about 130 kilometers far from Thanh Hoa City to the north-west.

With an area of more than 17.600 hectares together with a diverse system of flora and fauna, Pu Luong Thanh Hoa impresses tourists with the natural beauty of its primary forests, terraces of rice and the peaceful life of the local ethnic minorities. It is a new attractive destination for any tourists loving the nature and wishing to discover new lands in their journey.

If time permits, you have a swim at Hieu Waterfall known as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Pu Luong by its wild scenery. The waterfall is about 800m in length, with the stream falling from the top of the mountain, splitting into 2 branches flowing in 2 different directions and merging at the end of the stream. According to the people here, this waterfall flows all year round and never runs dry, this is also a source of water for domestic use and for irrigation of the people here and the surrounding area.

You will ride to Kho Muong village Perched in the nucleus of the Pu Luong nature reserve, this village will surprise you with the preserved beauty of a peaceful and picturesque setting where rural life continues to be lulled by the rhythm of the seasons. Seen from above, the visitor will be dazzled by a bewitching hilly landscape. At the foot of the mountains, wooden houses on stilts with thatched roofs, fields of rice, cassava, and corn, appear in an absolute tranquillity of this rural setting. A haven of peace will make you forget any fatigue of the journey.
