Spend the night in a local homestay, experiencing the warm hospitality of the Tay ethnic people.
Day 2: Ba Be Lake Motorbike Tour to Dong Van via Meo Vac (210 km)
Leaving Ba Be behind, you ride further into the rugged terrain of Northern Vietnam, heading towards Dong Van via Meo Vac. This route is known for its dramatic landscapes, including the famous Ma Pi Leng Pass, often referred to as one of the most spectacular roads in the world. The winding mountain roads offer breathtaking views of deep valleys and towering peaks. In Dong Van, you can explore the ancient town and its unique architecture before settling in for the night.
Day 3: Dong Van Motorcycle Tour to Ha Giang (180 km)

Day 9: Sam Neua Motorcycle Tour to Xieng Khouang (Plain of Jars) (Approx. 210 km)

The highlight of the day is the Plain of Jars, an ancient archaeological site where hundreds of large stone jars are scattered across the landscape. Day 10: Xieng Khouang Motorcycle Tour to Luang Prabang (Approx. 230 km)
Today, you ride southwest towards Luang Prabang, a city known for its well-preserved architecture and spiritual significance. The road offers a mix of scenic mountain views and stretches through rural Laos, with opportunities to stop at small villages along the way. Arrive in Luang Prabang in the evening, where you can unwind and explore the city’s night market.
Day 11: Luang Prabang Sightseeing & Relaxing
After several days on the road, today is a day of rest and exploration in Luang Prabang. Spend the day visiting the city’s many temples, including the famous Wat Xieng Thong, and enjoy a leisurely cruise on the Mekong River. Take this opportunity to relax, enjoy the local cuisine, and soak in the unique atmosphere of this UNESCO World Heritage city.
The former Royal Palace has been turned into a National Museum (closed Tuesdays). This interesting structure displays a collection of artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture dating from the days of the early kings right through the last sovereign. Today we also have enough time to explore some other landmarks, including the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun, the shrine of Wat Aham, the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and Wat Mai with its five tiered roofs. A visit to Luang Prabang would be incomplete without ascending the 329 steps to the top of Phousi Hill for a beautiful sunset view of the city and its glowing reflection on the Mekong River.

Day 12: Luang Prabang Motorcycle Tours to Vang Vieng via Phou Khoun, Nadao, and Pha Tang (Approx. 210 km)

The scenery here is among the most beautiful in Laos, making it a perfect spot for photography.
By late afternoon, you arrive in Vang Vieng, a town famous for its karst landscapes and vibrant atmosphere. After checking in at your accommodation, spend the evening exploring the local area or relaxing by the Nam Song River, reflecting on the day’s ride.
Day 13: Vang Vieng Motorcycle Tours to Muang Feuang and Muang Met (Approx. 150 km)
After breakfast, you set off from Vang Vieng, heading southwest towards Muang Feuang. The road takes you through rural landscapes and small villages, offering a glimpse into the everyday life of the local Lao people. The terrain is varied, with stretches of smooth tarmac and sections of dirt tracks that add a bit of adventure to the ride.
Arriving in Muang Feuang, you can explore this quiet town, known for its peaceful environment and traditional way of life. Continue your journey to Muang Met, a charming town nestled in a valley surrounded by mountains. Here, you can unwind for the evening, enjoying the local hospitality and a home-cooked Lao meal.
Day 14: Muang Met Motorcycle Tours to Luang Prabang via Phaka Cave, Kasi, and Muang Nan (Approx. 180 km)
The final day of your tour begins with a visit to Phaka Cave, located just outside Muang Met. This cave is a hidden gem, offering an adventure off the beaten path. Explore the cave’s impressive formations before continuing your journey.
Your route then takes you through Kasi, a town known for its fresh local produce and beautiful mountain scenery. Stop for a quick break and perhaps sample some local snacks before heading on to Muang Nan, a quiet town that offers a glimpse into rural Lao life.
