Day 1: Phnom Penh Motorbike Tour via Kampong Chhnang to Kampong Thom (B,-,-)

After the tour introduction and safety briefing, we begin our trip with a ride on village road toward Udong – the country’s capital between 17th to 19th century.
Once you get used to the bike, we will take the back road out of Phnom Penh with little traffic along the scenic road. We will stop regularly to see the sights along the way including a stop at Baseth mountain where we can get a breathtaking view of Phnom Penh from distance. We continue along the village dirt road where we can see the life of peasants up close and we stop regularly to interact with them to learn about their daily life. Once we arrived Udong, we will take the road up the hill then continue with some steps to the top of the hill where a large Buddha stupa stood where the best view of Cambodia’s countryside can be seen
We continue in the direction of Kampong Chhnang, before we arrive at the town we will pass by the traditional pottery villages along the way, where we will stop by to learn this centuries long practice to make the iconic clay products that make the namesake of the province.
We continue riding toward Kampong Thom and once we arrived, check-in the hotel to freshen up. Overnight in Kampong Thom
Day 2: Kampong Thom Motorbike Tour to Ta Seng (B,-,-)

Today, we ride along quiet rural road where houses on stilt are common sights amongst rice fields as far as the eye can see. We then stop for a visit to UNESCO World Heritage site of Sambor Preikuh – the pre-Angkorian capital dated back between 6t h to 9t h century. The ruined of Sambor Preikuh is known as the largest temple complex in Asia with its enclosure cover an area of 5 millions square meters.
We continue to Ta Seng via some small trails leading us through Boeung Pae Wildlife Sanctuary. Here some part of the trail can get very challenging ranging from sand to mud and water crossings.

Day 3: Ta Seng Motorbike Tour to Beng Mealea (B,-,-)

Ta Seng is not a regular village but it was a city a thousand year back. One of the last kings of Angkor built
the largest religious complex of the era here in Preah Khan Kampong Svay or the Great Preah Khan.
We then travel on the path of an ancient road connect the ancient city of Isanapura to Angkor a hundred kilometers away. It is hard to imagine that a thousand year ago this ancient highway that served as an important trading route in the kingdom became a small trail only accessible by nothing bigger than a motorcycle.

Day 4: Beng Mealea Motorbike Tour via Koh Ker to Preah Vihear (B,-,-)

This morning, we explore the temple of Beng Mealea – known as a sister temple to the fa
mous Angkor Wat. It was built during the reign of the same King, shared the same floor plan, but unlike Angkor Wat, Beng Mealea was not restored until very recent years. After this massive structure was left behind in the middle of dense tropical jungle for hundreds of years, the jungle reclaimed its territory back with massive trees took over some major structural buildings.
We continue to Koh Ker, an ancient city before capital moved to Angkor, to visit the group of temple including Prasat Thom. With its unique pyramid design, this temple stood out of the forest with its seven tiers measured 40 meters in height offering spectacular views of the surrounding forest.

Day 6: Preah Vihear Motorbike Tour to Banteay Meanchey (B,-,-)

We have another UNESCO World Heritage monument on our trip today – Preah Vihear temple. Situated on the edge of the cliff that separate present-day Thailand and Cambodia, the monument was built as a religious symbol to centralized the upper and lower territory of the Khmer Empire.
Once we are back down from the mountain, we continue heading west toward Anlong Veng. This sleepy town was the last stronghold of the resistance Khmer Rouge guerrillas where were the home to their leaders such as Pol Pot and Ta Mok.

Day 7: Banteay Meanchey Motorbike Tour to Siem Reap (B,-,-)
Distance: 135KM | Level: Medium | Road: gravel, tarmac
After farewell with our homestay host, we leave Banteay Chhmar and head to the home of Angkor Wat – Siem Reap. Today’s ride will be easier, so we leisurely cruise on wide tarmac road where we expect to arrive in the late afternoon, enough time to check-in the hotel and enjoy some cold drinks to celebrate the trip.
