Itinerary:
Day 1: VIETNAM MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO PU LUONG MOC CHAU TA XUA – Hanoi Motorcycle tour to Pu Luong Nature Reserve (L, D)
After your breakfast, you’ll jump on your iron horse to ride along the dyke of Red River where you can have a chance to witness our peaceful & green villages with bamboo trees, gardens of flowers, paddies & local markets. Later on, you’ll turn your way to a very scenic road to get to Pu Luong via Lung Van village and Son Ba Muoi. We’ll have lunch at a local restaurant on the way.
En route, you’ll stop by to visit other spectacular destinations with jungles, waterfalls, streams, bridges & villages of Thai ethnic people. Especially will get to Hieu hamlet located inside the Pu Luong Nature Reserve and visit beautiful Kho Muong village.
Ban Hieu: A small but scattered collection of thatched bamboo houses on stilts, built on a steep mountain slope. The village can only be reached on foot or by motorbike.
Kho Muong: A spectacular location with extraordinary views.

Day 2: Pu Luong MOTORBIKE TOUR TO Moc Chau via Mai Chau and Hang kia – Pa Co AND HANG TAU VILLAGE (B, L, D)
You then take off road trail in Hang Kia and Pa Co, passing by Mai Chau. Hopefully you will have the chance to hunt the cloud there.
Once we get close to Moc Chau plateau, we’ll make a turn to small quiet road named Hua Tat pass, that is old French-built road with a great view of mountain so you can surely have great motorcycle ride on.
After lunch, you will discover Hang Tau village – Hang Tau is a village without electricity, phone signals, technological gadgets, or any tourist services. Around the area, there are only trees, animals, and 20 wooden houses. Even the locals can’t speak Vietnamese nor English. The people living here are mainly Hmong people, who work in farming, shifting cultivation, and raising cattle all year round.
Then you will have dinner at the local restaurant with Moc Chau specialitites.

DAY 3: MOC CHAU MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO TA XUA CROSSING VAN YEN BY FERRY (B, L, D)
Breakfast at 8:00 am, It’s an easy and relaxing riding day so after breakfast we can take it easy with a ride to plum valley and tea plantation and farms on the cool plateau to learn more about the interesting daily life of the locals.
We will motorbike all the way down to the Da river lake to cross the river lake to Phu Yen. Before getting to Phu Yen town, we will have beautiful ride along the Da river this could be the highlight of this Northwest Vietnam motorbike tour. We’ll keep following the weaving road QL37 to ride up to our famous destination known as Ta Xua peak or the “dinosaur backbone”.
After lunch at a local restaurant, we’ll head across Giap wood to Bac Yen township. Here, the true challenge begins. We’ll embark on a 12 km seemingly vertical mountain trek with our bikes, a tough feat even on dry and sunny days, with chilling and breathtaking scenery pushing us forwards all the way. We’ll get to our destination at a clearing right beside the “dinosaur backbone”.
Ta Xua is a mountain range in the Bac Yen district in Son La province. At the highest point of 2865 meters, the Ta Xua peak is the tenth highest peak in Vietnam. The three most important peaks form a line that looks like the backbone of a dinosaur. It is a real off the beaten track destination for adventure travelers.
If time permits, we also try some dirt-track experiences to get deeper into remote villages around to see how the locals live & work otherwise it’s our time for beer, and relaxation amid this remote and pristine nature’s playground amid the clouds.

DAY 4: VIETNAM MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO PU LUONG MOC CHAU TA XUA – TA XUA MOTORCYCLE TOUR TO HANOI (B, L)
In this morning, we should rise early to hunt the cloud at Dinasaur Spine which lies at an altitude of about 1500 m and the views from there or from the nearby village of Ta Xua and its surroundings are really breathtaking.
We’ll keep exploring beauties of this amazing land with some dirt tracks to get deeper inside the villages before returning to Hanoi. On return, we will stop at Long Coc tea hills to learn about this special art of drinking.
We ride southeast on Highway 2 and then branch off to the sleepy town of Phu Tho. We follow the edge of the Red River along the dike, almost to the point where it merges with the Black River after which they flow together to Hanoi.
By now we are very much in the lowlands of the delta plains and the north’s main agricultural areas. Harvest time here is a sea of activity. Crossing the Black River by a bridge, we pass Vu Linh Motorbike tours to Hanoi through Son Tay and then return to Hanoi on the highway. We should be back to Hanoi before rush-hour (4 pm) because traffic’s getting busier and busier.
