7 DAYS · DAY-BY-DAY ROUTE

Cambodia Motorcycle Tour from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh via Preah Vihear and Mondulkiri – Detailed Itinerary:

01

Day 1: Siem Reap dirt bike tour to Koh Ker (Approx. 130 km)

The adventure begins in Siem Reap as you ride east into the countryside towards Koh Ker, a remote archaeological site hidden deep in the jungle. The ride takes you through rural dirt roads, small villages, and farmland, offering stunning views of the Cambodian landscape. You’ll pass by local farmers working the fields, giving you a glimpse into traditional Khmer life.

Koh Ker is an ancient Angkorian capital, home to a massive pyramid-like temple that rises above the jungle canopy. This less-visited temple complex offers a serene and mysterious atmosphere, with crumbling ruins and giant trees growing around the structures. You’ll have time to explore the site before settling into a nearby guesthouse for the night, surrounded by the tranquility of the jungle.

02

Day 2: Koh Ker dirt bike tour to Preah Vihear (Approx. 160 km)

After a peaceful night near Koh Ker, you’ll set off for the mountaintop temple of Preah Vihear, one of Cambodia’s most stunning ancient sites. The ride will take you through off-road trails and jungle paths, providing plenty of adventure as you navigate through remote terrain. The route is both scenic and challenging, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and forests.

When you arrive at Preah Vihear, you’ll be greeted by the sight of an ancient temple perched high on a cliff, offering sweeping views over the plains below. This UNESCO World Heritage site is known for its remote location and majestic setting, far from the tourist crowds. You’ll explore the temple and enjoy the panoramic views before spending the night in a nearby guesthouse.

Day 3: Preah Vihear dirt bike tour to Tbeng Meanchey (Approx. 150 km)

Leaving the highlands of Preah Vihear, you’ll ride south towards the town of Tbeng Meanchey, the capital of Preah Vihear province. The journey today takes you through more off-road trails, jungle paths, and scenic dirt roads. Along the way, you’ll pass through isolated villages, offering a rare look at rural life in one of Cambodia’s most remote areas.

The roads are rugged and often less traveled, adding to the sense of adventure as you make your way through forests and farmlands. Upon arriving in Tbeng Meanchey, you’ll settle into a local guesthouse, with the opportunity to explore the town and interact with locals. This small, quiet provincial town offers a glimpse into traditional Cambodian life away from the tourist trail.

04

Day 4: Tbeng Meanchey dirt bike tour to Kampong Thom (Approx. 140 km)

Today’s ride will take you further south towards Kampong Thom, with a mix of dirt tracks, off-road trails, and scenic rural roads. The route takes you through more agricultural landscapes, with rice paddies, palm trees, and small villages lining the way. You’ll enjoy the tranquility of the countryside as you ride through this peaceful part of Cambodia.

On the way, you’ll stop at the Sambor Prei Kuk temple complex, a pre-Angkorian site dating back to the 7th century. These temples, set deep in the forest, are a UNESCO World Heritage site and offer a quiet and atmospheric place to explore. Afterward, continue your ride to Kampong Thom, where you’ll spend the night in a guesthouse, enjoying a well-deserved rest.

05

Day 5: Kampong Thom dirt bike tour to Kampong Cham (Approx. 150 km)

Today’s ride will take you from Kampong Thom to Kampong Cham, a scenic riverside town along the Mekong River. The route will lead you through rural Cambodia, with off-road trails passing through farmlands, rubber plantations, and small Khmer villages. As you ride through these peaceful areas, you’ll have the chance to stop and interact with locals, experiencing Cambodian culture up close.

Upon arriving in Kampong Cham, you’ll visit Wat Nokor, a unique temple complex that blends ancient Angkorian architecture with a modern Buddhist pagoda. Kampong Cham is a charming town known for its colonial-era buildings and relaxed riverside vibe. Spend the evening exploring the town’s markets or relaxing by the Mekong River, enjoying the quiet ambiance before your final days of riding.

06

Day 6: Kampong Cham dirt bike tour to Kirirom National Park (Approx. 170 km)

Leave Kampong Cham and head west towards Kirirom National Park, a beautiful area known for its cool climate, pine forests, and waterfalls. Today’s ride offers a mix of off-road trails and scenic country roads, passing through rural villages and forested areas. The terrain becomes more mountainous as you approach Kirirom, providing some thrilling off-road sections as you ascend into the park.

Once you reach Kirirom National Park, you’ll have time to explore the park’s waterfalls, wildlife, and scenic viewpoints. The fresh mountain air and lush green surroundings offer a refreshing contrast to the heat of Cambodia’s lowlands. You’ll stay overnight in an eco-lodge or campsite within the park, enjoying the peaceful ambiance of the forest.

07

Day 7: Kirirom National Park dirt bike tour to Phnom Penh (Approx. 130 km)

The final leg of your journey takes you from Kirirom National Park to Phnom Penh, with a scenic route passing through rural Cambodia. The day’s ride is mostly on dirt roads and quiet country paths, offering beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. As you ride, you’ll pass through small farming villages, rice fields, and palm trees, providing a peaceful and enjoyable end to your adventure.

As you approach Phnom Penh, the landscape transitions from rural tranquility to the bustling energy of Cambodia’s capital city. Arrive in Phnom Penh by the afternoon, marking the end of your thrilling 7-day off-road motorbike adventure. After days of exploring remote jungles, temples, and rural communities, you’ll have time to unwind and explore Phnom Penh’s cultural attractions or simply relax after an incredible journey.

Awesome Riding Adventure 5 of us did the 10 day Northern Vietnam Off-road Loop at the end of November, very ably assisted by by our guide, Giang, and support vehicle driver, Dong.We logged over 1800km in 9 days of riding, saw some absolutely amazing scenery, partook in local delicacies, met and partied with ethnic people and had an epic trip.Everything around the trip was managed efficiently by Mike Dong, including organising Vietnamese drivers licences for us all. The bikes we had (CRF300L) performed well with only two flat tyres to speak of. The accommodation choices (apart from one night) were comfortable and adequate, the meals were delicious and plentiful. The whole trip went like clockwork and we got to see places few other tourist would ever get to see.I would definitely recommend this tour or shorter trips if you feel 10 days is a bit much.

Unforgettable 12-day trip from Hanoi to Saigon We highly recommend the 12-day trip from Hanoi to Saigon. The organization was excellent from start to finish. The day before, we were personally briefed by the company owner, received all important details and felt well prepared. Our guide Cong was just awesome. We felt safe at all times and were allowed to experience small cultural excursions practically every day. He showed us beautiful places, introduced us to local culture and was able to tell us an incredible amount about the country. We were also spoiled culinary – we ate very fine every day.An absolutely unique experience, perfectly organized and with a guide who made our experience unforgettable. Clear recommendation!

Great bike tour for 6 days, north west Vietnam Brilliant 6 days, the tours are road based with a little bit of riding on un paved roads, Ducky was our guide, ex-road racer which suited us as we like to push on. Was amazing to see all the villagers, people waving, nothing like miserable old England where everyone thinks your doing something illegal. Homesteads were great, food nothing to say as always the best. Get it booked and take your holiday to +10.

10 Days Completed the 10 Day trip. It was guided and tailored to our riding abilities. Sadly we came at a time with flooding and could not complete some tracks because of this. The food was amazing at every location. Homestays were fantastic, nice people. Ducky had good knowledge about the locations and good recommendations
